Just using a raised rain barrel over a vegetable garden was not providing enough water pressure for my drip irrigation system. This video shows how I increased the pressure by setting up a solar powered water pump.

Initial test of my second water pump stirling engine. This unit have a displacer in steal how could handle lot higher temperature, but here I run this engine on approximatly same low temperature (+50..60C Degrease) as the ancient solar water pump stirling engine. The output pump power was at this absolut first test 0.95meter and 1 liter on ~25second. The displaced volume is about 0.739 liter at this temperature.

Solar Water Pump
It is made form ancient DC-motor parts and plastic tubing. A rubber shrink tube works as a sealer.
How it works:
When the rotor is spinning it slings the water out from the center to the inner walls of the housing. This makes a vacuum in the center and sucks water in from the bottom. Via a hole on the side of the housing it lets the over-pressure of water run out. This principle is called centrifuge and it works on a larger scale as well.
